Trombone Shorty brings his band Orleans Avenue to Boulder Theater for a night built on New Orleans brass and funk. Troy Andrews grew up in the Treme leading his own brass bands before he could drive, and that background still drives everything he plays, trombone and trumpet lines stacked over deep funk grooves.
Expect horns up front, a rhythm section that leans hard into the pocket, and a set that moves between jazz, funk, and straight up New Orleans street music.
