Trampled By Turtles brings their string-driven mix of bluegrass speed and alt country weight to Dillon Amphitheater, sharing the bill with Leftover Salmon, one of the bands that helped build the whole newgrass and jam band scene in Colorado. Expect fiddle, banjo, and mandolin pushed hard, songs that lean folk and americana one minute and take off running the next.
Two bands with deep roots in acoustic music playing outdoors in Dillon makes for a solid pairing. Fans of either group will find plenty to like in the other.
