Leftover Salmon

Leftover Salmon helped invent what people now call "slacker grass," blending bluegrass instrumentation with rock energy and a loose, improvisational streak. Formed in Colorado, the band has spent decades touring behind that hybrid sound, mixing string band tradition with jam band stretch and a little Cajun flavor for good measure.

They still tour steadily and have Colorado dates coming up at Dillon Amphitheater. For longtime fans of the state's jam and bluegrass scene, this is a chance to catch one of the acts that helped shape it.
