Automatic brings a sparse, motorik version of post-punk, all synth pulse and bass-forward groove with vocals kept cool and detached. The LA trio works in cold wave and darkwave textures without leaning on guitars to do the heavy lifting. Donzii opens with their own moody, synth-driven take on the sound.
Both bands play Meow Wolf Denver, a strange room to begin with, which should suit music this atmospheric.
