Meow Wolf Denver

Meow Wolf Denver—officially known as Convergence Station—is a 90,000-square-foot immersive art experience located at 1338 1st Street in Denver’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, tucked between the I-25 and Colfax viaducts. Opened on September 17, 2021, it is Meow Wolf’s third permanent installation and the first to be built inside a custom-designed, purpose-built structure. As a music and live-event venue, it doubles as one of the most visually distinctive performance spaces in Colorado.

Meow Wolf was founded in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2008 as a DIY arts collective before evolving into an immersive experience company. Work on the Denver location began in 2017, with construction of the purpose-built four-story building representing an investment of approximately $60 million. More than 110 Colorado-based artists contributed to the installation alongside hundreds of collaborators nationwide. The exhibit is organized as a fictional transit hub operated by the in-universe Quantum Department of Transportation (QDOT), through which visitors move between four interconnected alien worlds: C Street, Eemia, Numina, and the Ossuary. Alongside these permanent worlds, a cocktail lounge called Sips (With a Z) opened in October 2023, and a gift shop spanning 2,000 square feet offers more than 1,500 unique products.

The dedicated performance space inside Convergence Station is called The Perplexiplex, developed in collaboration with interactive production studio Moment Factory. It holds up to 478 people and is one of only a handful of fully projection-mapped concert venues in the country. On a regular visit, the room cycles through four four-minute immersive scenes; during concerts, a live VJ pairs custom visuals—including artist-provided artwork and original environmental imagery—with the performance, making each show a one-of-a-kind visual and sonic experience. Programming spans genre-blending concerts, drag shows, electronic music nights, multimedia events, and experimental community gatherings.
