Garrick Ohlsson takes on Rachmaninoff's Third Piano Concerto with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Rune Bergmann conducting. This is one of the toughest concertos in the repertoire, dense and demanding, and Ohlsson has the technique and the years behind him to make sense of its sprawl.
Boettcher Hall is the setting, home turf for the orchestra. Expect a full symphonic program built around that concerto as the centerpiece.
