Russian Circles

Russian Circles is a Chicago instrumental trio that builds heavy, cinematic music out of post-rock and metal parts. No vocals, just long-form songs that shift from quiet, textured passages into full-on sludge and prog weight. They have put out a string of albums over the years that map that same territory, patient builds, distorted peaks, drums that hit hard when the song finally opens up.

They bring that sound to the Gothic Theatre for an upcoming Colorado date, a good room for a band that works in dynamics and volume as much as melody.
