Fear Factory

Fear Factory helped define industrial metal, welding mechanized riffs and blast beats to Burton C. Bell's contrast of clean melodic vocals and harsh screams. Albums like Demanufacture and Obsolete became touchstones for the genre, mixing dystopian, man-versus-machine themes with a sound as rigid and relentless as the machinery it evokes. Decades in, the band still draws from that same well of grinding riffs and mechanical precision.
