Chuck Ragan built his name as the gravel-voiced frontman of Hot Water Music, then carried that same weathered intensity into a solo career rooted in folk punk and americana. His solo records lean acoustic but hit just as hard, full of rasp and conviction, and he has long been a key figure in the folk punk revival alongside acts like Lucero and Frank Turner.
