University of Denver-Newman Center-Byron Theatre
The Byron Theatre is one of the performance spaces inside the Newman Center for the Performing Arts on the University of Denver campus at 2344 E. Iliff Ave. As part of a university arts complex, it tends to host classical, jazz, and other programming tied to DU's Lamont School of Music along with touring acts booked through Newman Center Presents.
Parking is in the garage just south of the building, entered off East Wesley Avenue, and it's free for Newman Center Presents and many Lamont and DU Theater shows. For other events expect an $8 garage fee, or use the $1.25 an hour visitor spots on the ground level. Skip the neighborhood streets, most have a one hour limit strictly enforced.
Parking at University of Denver-Newman Center-Byron Theatre
Parking is available in the adjacent parking garage, just south of the Newman Center. Enter the garage from East Wesley Avenue. Parking is FREE for all Newman Center Presents events, as well as many Lamont School of Music and DU Theater events. For all other shows held at the Newman Center, there is an $8 event parking fee in the garage. For purchasing tickets during normal business hours, there is a 20 minute loading zone located on the north side of the Newman Center on E. Iliff Ave. Otherwise, $1.25/hr visitor parking is available on the ground level of the parking garage. *Caution* Parking in the neighborhood is not advised, as most side streets have a one-hour parking limit. Please do not park in front of driveways or your vehicle will be towed. Please do not park in the lot of the Iliff School of Theology (on the north side of Iliff Ave., across the street from the Newman Center).
