The Basement at Club Vinyl

The Basement at Club Vinyl is the sub-level room of Club Vinyl, Denver’s premier multi-level nightclub located at 1082 Broadway in the Golden Triangle neighborhood. Operating within one of the most storied nightlife addresses in the city, The Basement offers an intimate underground experience that sets it apart from the larger floors above — a dark, immersive space purpose-built for electronic music and late-night culture.

Club Vinyl’s history at 1082 Broadway stretches back decades, with various nightlife operations occupying the building before Regas Christou — Denver’s most prolific nightclub entrepreneur — established Vinyl as a flagship destination. Christou built a hospitality empire spanning 29 venues over a 40-year career, and Club Vinyl remained one of his most popular and iconic properties. In 2024, the venue was acquired by Insomniac, the Los Angeles–based live entertainment company founded in 1993 by Pasquale Rotella and known for producing some of the world’s largest electronic music events. Under Insomniac’s stewardship, Club Vinyl has deepened its focus on electronic music programming while maintaining the multi-genre character that made it a Denver institution.

The Basement covers approximately 3,655 square feet — 85 feet long by 43 feet wide — and holds up to 549 standing guests. True to its name, it sits below street level, giving the room an enclosed, bunker-like energy that regulars describe as genuinely underground. The space features its own dedicated bar and dance floor, glowing bottle service tables lining the walls, and production lighting that keeps the atmosphere deliberately dark and club-focused. The programming leans heavily into bass music, dubstep, drum and bass, and hardstyle, making it the natural home for Denver’s underground electronic community. The main Club Vinyl floors above offer complementary experiences: a flagship main floor with a Funktion-One sound system and full LED wall, a second floor, and a rooftop indoor/outdoor patio with fire pits and Rocky Mountain views — making the full four-floor venue a destination in its own right.
