Summit Music Hall

Summit Music Hall is a 1,350-capacity live music venue at 1902 Blake Street in Denver’s Lower Downtown — one of the city’s most versatile and well-regarded mid-size concert spaces. Situated steps from Coors Field and Union Station, Summit has earned a reputation for booking an eclectic range of touring acts, from punk and metal to indie, hip-hop, and electronic, with a sound system and room layout that draws consistent praise from fans and artists alike.

The 12,500-square-foot building has a long history at the heart of LoDo. It originally operated as the Blake Street Baseball Club, later became the LoDo Music Hall, and then morphed into Club Bash, an early 2000s hip-hop nightclub. Independent Denver promoter Soda Jerk Presents — led by Mike Barsch — acquired the property, redesigned it, and reopened it as Summit in July 2010, with local acts the Rouge, Air Dubai, and Honor the Fallen playing the inaugural show. In February 2018, Live Nation signed a 20-year lease to handle booking and operations while Soda Jerk retained building ownership; Live Nation then closed the venue from June through September 2018 for a significant renovation that improved sightlines, expanded restrooms, and upgraded the sound infrastructure. In 2025, on its 15th anniversary, the venue formally adopted the name “Summit Music Hall” alongside a refreshed brand identity. Notable artists to have performed here include Imagine Dragons, Talib Kweli, Alkaline Trio, Good Charlotte, Garbage, and Tycho.

The main room is a high-energy general-admission floor with a wraparound balcony on three sides, letting attendees choose between standing close to the stage or catching a bird’s-eye view from above. The venue features a state-of-the-art Outline GTO line-source sound system and intelligent LED lighting throughout. A second, more intimate space — the Moon Room — hosts smaller shows and private events with a capacity of around 300. Three full bars are spread throughout the venue, and Marquis Pizza by the slice is available on show nights. The venue hosts roughly 150–160 artist events per year.
