Mt. Joy plays Red Rocks in Morrison, with Leif Vollebekk opening. The Pennsylvania band built its name on folk rock songs with big, singable choruses, the kind of tunes that work well against a red sandstone backdrop. Expect warm harmonies and songs that lean acoustic before swelling out.
Vollebekk brings a quieter, more searching sound, piano and guitar led, a good contrast before Mt. Joy's set.
