Chat Pile brings their particular brand of noise rock dread to the Gothic Theatre, all detuned guitars and vocals that sound like they're being pulled out of someone against their will. The Oklahoma band writes songs about slaughterhouses and homelessness and makes it feel genuinely unsettling rather than gimmicky.
Soul Glo shares the bill, bringing hardcore that moves fast and hits harder, with screamo edges that pair well with Chat Pile's slower crush. This is a heavy night at a good room for it. Show is 16 and over.
