The Strokes
The Strokes came out of New York in the early 2000s and helped kick off the garage rock revival with that first album full of tight, scrappy hooks. Julian Casablancas's detached vocal delivery and the band's lean, guitar-driven sound became a blueprint that a lot of indie rock still leans on today.
They've stayed a major draw ever since, and now they're playing Red Rocks, which is about as good a setting as this band could ask for.
