Social Distortion

Social Distortion has been flying the flag for punk rock steeped in country and rockabilly since the early 1980s. Mike Ness built the band's sound around hard luck narratives, twangy guitar hooks, and a voice that sounds like it earned every scar. "Ball and Chain" and their cover of "Ring of Fire" turned them into a band that punks and outlaw country fans could both claim.

They keep touring steadily, and Colorado fans can catch them at Mission Ballroom.
