Sleater-Kinney

Sleater-Kinney formed out of the riot grrrl scene in the early 90s and became one of the most respected bands to come out of it, built on the interlocking guitars of Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker and Janet Weiss's drumming, which held the band down through most of its run. Albums like Dig Me Out and The Woods showed a band willing to push past their own sound rather than repeat it, and they have kept writing and touring well past the point where most of their peers stopped.

They have a Colorado date coming up at Fillmore Auditorium in Denver.
