Richard Blade

Richard Blade made his name as a radio voice, not a recording artist. He came up through KROQ in Los Angeles during the station's new wave and post-punk heyday, then carried that same ear for the genre onto SiriusXM's First Wave channel, where he still champions the sound. For a certain generation he is the voice that introduced bands like Depeche Mode and The Cure to American radio.

These days he brings that history out on the road, hosting and spinning sets built around the era he helped define. He has Colorado dates coming up at Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre.
