Old 97’s
Old 97's came up out of Dallas in the early 90s and helped put alt country on the map, mixing punk energy with twangy, hook-heavy songwriting. Rhett Miller's voice and songs carry the band, and albums like Too Far to Care hold up as genre touchstones decades later.
