My Chemical Romance
My Chemical Romance came out of New Jersey in the early 2000s and became one of the defining bands of the emo and pop punk explosion, known for albums like Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and The Black Parade. Gerard Way's theatrical songwriting and the band's mix of punk aggression and arena size hooks turned them into a band that fans took personally, the kind of group people built identities around.
They broke up in 2013 and returned years later to a fanbase that never really left. Colorado fans get a chance to see them at Coors Field.
