Marty Stuart

Marty Stuart has been a working country traditionalist for decades, starting out as a teenage picker in Lester Flatt's band before joining Johnny Cash's road show and launching his own recording career in the 1980s. He plays honky tonk and classic country with a bluegrass musician's hands, and he has spent years championing the older sounds of Nashville while keeping his own catalog moving. His band, the Fabulous Superlatives, backs him with the kind of tight, unshowy musicianship that comes from years on the road together.
