Lettuce

Lettuce came out of Boston with a deep grounding in funk and jazz, and they've built a career on tight grooves and heavy improvisation. The band leans on horns and a rhythm section that can stretch a two minute idea into ten without losing the pocket, drawing equally from jazz funk and jam band traditions.

They've got a Colorado date coming up at Telluride Town Park, a good setting for a band that thrives on long form playing outdoors.
