Lake Street Dive

Lake Street Dive built their sound on a mix of soul, pop hooks, and jazz-trained chops, with Rachael Price's voice out front carrying everything from tight harmonies to full-throated belting. They started out leaning on upright bass and a small kit, then grew into a fuller band sound over time, but the songwriting has always stayed catchy and a little sly, the kind of pop that sneaks in references to old soul records without ever feeling like a museum piece.

They have shows coming up at Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre, so Colorado fans get a chance to hear that voice in a big outdoor room.
