Gorillaz

Gorillaz is the virtual band created by Damon Albarn of Blur and artist Jamie Hewlett, built around a cast of animated characters instead of a conventional lineup. Since the early 2000s they've moved between hip hop, dub, electronic, and pop, pulling in collaborators from across genres for records like "Demon Days" and "Plastic Beach." Albarn's voice and songwriting anchor the shifting sound.

They have a show coming up at Ball Arena, a chance to see the cartoon band's music translated into a very real room.
