DakhaBrakha

DakhaBrakha is a Ukrainian quartet built around folk material from their home country, twisted into something stranger with drums, cello, accordion, and layered vocal harmonies. They call it "ethno chaos," and the label fits. Their sound pulls in traditional Ukrainian song alongside touches of world music, drone, and even hip hop rhythm, all filtered through tall wool hats that have become part of their visual signature.

They have built an international following through relentless touring, and that reputation now brings them to Colorado for a show at Chautauqua Auditorium.
