Asleep At the Wheel
Asleep at the Wheel has been the standard bearer for western swing since the early 1970s, keeping the sound of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys alive through decades of lineup changes and a shelf full of Grammy wins along the way. Ray Benson's steel guitars, horns, and dance hall shuffle rhythms make them a rare link to a style of country that mostly lives in museums now.
They bring that sound to Colorado with stops at Mishawaka Amphitheatre, Strings Music Pavilion, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and the Avalon Theatre.
