Alchemist is a longtime figure in underground hip hop, known best as a producer whose crate digging and jazz inflected boom bap sound has shaped records for the likes of Mobb Deep, Prodigy, Curren$y, and countless others. His own releases lean instrumental and moody, built from dusty samples and patient loops rather than hooks.
